Mothers Day Skype |
It seems like things back home are good! Happy Mother's day mom!
Right now we have 5 investigators that go to the local high school here, Box Hill High. I first contacted Bella in a train station, and she brought two friends, and this week one of her friends brought another friend. So we have a good amount of people we are teaching right now.
Since Elder Nielson left, I am the new teacher of the English class. English class is really small right now, and the issue is that the 3 or 4 people that come are all at different levels. So I want to get more flyers and get the word out, so the class can be bigger, and maybe eventually we can split it up into levels. Last week we practiced speaking at a supermarket. I gave them items that they had to describe to a "worker". It was fun!
A couple of weeks ago, we helped a member disassemble a trampoline. This was my first time going to the countryside. It was so beautiful. It reminded me of Julian, California. There were lots of hills, trees, horses, and farms. We were in a rush so I did not take pictures, but I want to go back there on one of our p-days and hike around. Maybe I will get to see a kangaroo since I still haven't caught a glimpse of one.
My Chinese is still improving. I try to read the scriptures in pinyin now. Pinyin is phonetic, unlike characters, so it is helpful if you don't know Chinese characters.
Until next week.
